Vitamin E oil and lemon juice have been known as helpful ingredients for healing and fading scars. Many people can’t afford the price of professional scar treatments or surgeries created to remove scars. The good news is there are many other options.

Using Lemon Juice to Fade Scars

Fresh lemon juice contains vitamin C and alpha hydroxy acids. Lemon juice is a natural skin whitener which helps fade the appearance of red or dark colored scars. The citrus acid can also be helpful in fading scars, as it exfoliates dead skin cells, regenerating new cell growth.

It’s best for individuals to try using a Q-tip to apply lemon juice to scars, especially if the scars are around the face area. It’s important to try and stay clear of getting the substance near the eyes, as this may burn. Some people dab lemon juice over their scars on the face before applying make-up.

Vitamin E for Reducing the Appearance of Scars

It may be best to use Vitamin E oil at night before going to bed, especially if it is being used on the face area, as it is oily. Also, individuals should keep in mind that just a small dab goes a long way.

Combining Vitamin E and Lemon Juice to Heal Scars

Lemon juice may not only help with fading scars, but also healing them, as well. It may be especially beneficial to stretch marks and freckles, as it’s an all natural skin whitener.

Vitamin E oil is also known to be used for stretch marks and healing scars. As for stretch marks, the substance may be a great preventative during pregnancy. Therefore, using the oil on the stomach, hips, thighs and breasts can sometimes prevent the marks from appearing. Many doctors suggest using vitamin E oil after surgery in order to help with the healing process.
